The IMH offers instruction to individuals, families, and groups. We work with any age (our youngest student is two and our oldest in her eighties) and with all standards - from beginner to professional. Restarters are welcome.

Our Approach

Our approach focuses on the student’s natural love of music.  Our approach to music is holistic. As well as playing their instrument, we encourage our students to sing for that is the best way to develop musicianship and ear. We complement this by introducing the student to the whole world of music, including classical, jazz, popular, blues, popular and even styles of world music. Our teachers are able to do this through their extensive knowledge and training, and through the considerable resources of CPD Music, whose library contains over 12,000 records, and an enormous range of sheet music and scores.

All in all, we offer a unique education in music, one which aims to broaden the student’s knowledge and understanding of music while developing his technical abilities.
